Mengenal Model Kebaya Modern

Saat ini, tak sedikit wanita yang merasa lebih cantik jika mengenakan model kebaya modern. Selain berkaitan dengan historis pemakaian kebaya oleh wanita Indonesia sejak zaman dahulu, pemakaian kebaya memperlihatkan sisi feminin seorang wanita. Mereka bisa tampil lebih chic dan mempesona.Berbicara tentang persepsi sebuah kebaya tempo dulu, kita akan mendapati ungkapan bahwa kebaya itu hanyalah sesuatu yang kuno dan formal. Pendapat itu tentu saja muncul berdasarkan perkembangan fashion yang selalu up to date.
Secara tradisional, kebaya sendiri sebenarnya hanyalah sebuah blus yang umumnya berlengan panjang. Biasanya, dipakai untuk menutupi badan setelah terlebih dahulu memakai kain atau sarung. Masyarakat Jawa bahkan menggunakannya sebagai busana sehari-hari.
Di Indonesia, kebaya memiliki variasi yang berbeda-beda, bergantung pada pengaruh budaya lokal. Variasi tersebut tertangkap dari warna yang dipilih, bentuk, dan penggunaan kain yang menyertainya.
Masyarakat Jawa Barat lebih menyukai warna yang lebih terang daripada masyarakat Jawa Tengah atau DIY, misalnya. Mereka juga hanya melilitkan kain yang menyertai pemakaian kebaya pada badan tanpa disertai "wiron".
Hasilnya, banyak bermunculan model kebaya modern. Pertumbuhannya pun menjanjikan, sebab semua kalangan sangat menggemarinya. Sekarang, siapa saja merasa nyaman berkebaya.
Model kebaya modern tampil lebih atraktif dengan memodifikasi bagian kerah, lengan, juga ukuran panjangnya. Sebagian model bahkan tidak lagi hanya memadukannya dengan kain batik. Namun, dipadupadankan dengan jahitan rok jadi dan juga celana panjang.
Beberapa desainer dalam negeri bahkan sering memodifikasi desainnya dengan teknik jahit dan pemakaian aksesori yang tidak umum digunakan dalam pakem pemakaian kebaya.
Hasilnya? Kebaya menjadi tampil lebih mewah. Kebaya berkembang dari busana tradisional yang klasik menjadi busana papan atas dengan sentuhan modern yang menggoda.
